The Specna Arms SA-K04 ONE™ Kestrel™ airsoft rifle ETU
The Kestrel module™ V2 Basic ETU by Eshooter is an advanced ETU system characterised by ease of use, robustness and functionality. The Kestrel™ V2 Basic is programmable with trigger pulls, works with both brush and brushless motors in High Speed and High Torque configurations and increases the reliability of the replica and protects internal parts in the event of overloads due to motor damage or battery drain.
Functions of the Kestrel system™ Basic:
-Pre-cocking programmable in 5 stages with piston position learning.
(function requires a few single shots after connecting the battery for calibration)
-Active Break. The replica performs a full cycle with each shot, so no unnecessary overloads are created in the GB due to performing part of the cycle.
-Locked Rotor Protection, feature protects the inside of the replica in the event of motor damage
-Battery Drain Protection. Battery Drain Protection. The motor vibrates, the blue LED illuminates five times to indicate battery discharge
-Low/ High Voltage Protection. The module detects the number of battery cells and adjusts operation to different numbers of cells and voltages from 6V to 17V.
The Specna Arms SA-K04 ONE™ Kestrel™ ETU airsoft rifle
The SA-K04 airsoft rifle by Specna Arms has been made predominantly from a uniform zinc-aluminium alloy, with the use of steel elements at the most critical points of the replica (so all screws, pins and the tactical sling mount are steel). The SF type stock, which houses the battery, as well as the pistol grip, are made of polymer polymer. The body of the replica and the RIS rail assembly have been subjected to the anodising process, which guarantees a high degree of protection of the replica against corrosion. The painting of the replica itself was done by a powder coating process, after the surface had been sandblasted. This ensures that the applied paint is much more abrasion resistant than usual. The USMC markings have been applied to the barrel.
The rifle has been very well fitted - in a way that has so far been seen almost exclusively in manufacturers of the G&P or Classic Army classes - and perfectly balanced. This ensures almost ideal maneuverability of the replica, while its weight is, in addition, when the replica is placed against the shoulder, almost imperceptible.
The replica uses the quick spring change system, the so-called Enter & Convert™. This allows for quick and efficient adjustment of the replica's power to the conditions expected on the battlefield without the need to have access to a workshop or a number of specialised tools - after removing the gearbox from the body of the replica, the spring replacement process itself takes literally seconds.
The advantages of the Enter & Convert™ system are difficult to overestimate. In light of the prevailing trend throughout Europe towards legal restrictions on the firing speed of the replica and the arrangements that exist within the environments themselves, this system guarantees the user considerable options and a great deal of freedom. The Enter & Convert™ system makes it possible with a minimum of time to replace the mainspring and thus adapt the replica's exit velocity to the playing area so as to guarantee an ideal compromise between the effectiveness of the firearm and the safety of yourself and other players.
The replica has been fully adapted to work with batteries of the type LiPo and LiFe. With a base initial discharge velocity of the order ~410 FPS guaranteed by the pre-installed mainspring, the replica is perfectly suited for medium range operations. An M90-type spring is also included, which reduces the initial velocity to ~310 FPS making the replica perfectly suited for short-range or indoor operations.
The gearbox, reinforced at cylinder head height, conceals a steel spring guide that is part of the Enter & Convert™ system and mounted on 8mm ball bearings and washers steel gears. The system is secured with four anti-reverse pawls. It also uses type 2 cylinder and steel cut-off lever, as well as metal hop-up chamber.
Upgraded version has a number of new, reinforced parts such as:
- a set of reinforced steel gears
- a steel spring guide
- a lightweight polymer piston
- a sealed aluminium piston head
- a sealed metal cylinder head
- a sealed metal nozzle
The Upgraded version is fitted with a 22mm dorsal RIS rail, a free-float front RIS rail assembly and an adjustable buttstock. On the upper RIS rail, metal flip-up sights have been fitted, but they can freely be replaced by any optoelectronic sighting device. Thanks to the sliding buttstock finished with an anti-slip textured footplate, it is possible to adjust the length of the replica to the shooter's build and preferences. The standard flame suppressor is mounted on a 14-mm left-hand thread, which makes it possible to attach a sound suppressor in its place. What is more, the kit includes a QD-mounted sound suppressor perfectly matched to the front of the replica.
The replica has been adapted for both right- and left-handed operation thanks to the installation of lateral fire selector and magazine release and, rarely found, two-sided breech release. These are seemingly minor elements, but they enhance both the realism of the reflection of the original and the sheer ergonomics of use. Also noteworthy is the original trigger guard with the model designation.
The replica also comes with a steel hi-cap magazine that holds 300 rounds.
The Specna Arms replicas are compatible with many magazines available on the market, including manufacturers such as:
- BOYI
- Airsoft Systems
- SRC
- King Arms
- MAG
- STAR
- ACM
