Specna Arms SV-98 CORE™ Sniper Rifle Replica

The SV-98 or Snaiperskaya Vintovka Model 1998 is a bolt-action Sniper Rifle designed in 1998 by Vladimir Stonskiy, which has seen plenty of operation use especially in Chechnya. This rifle is lesser-seen in Airsoft Replica form, and is a welcome addition to Specna Arms' lineup of spectacular replicas.

This rifle works the same as most Bolt Action Spring Rifles in that you will receive two separate halves in the box which need assembling. It is a very simply case of placing the two halves together and securing it with the included body screws. This makes transport/storage of the replica incredibly easy, reducing the overall size by nearly 40cm. The included Carry Handle is very simple to install as well, needing only to be screwed into the side of the stock. The stock of the rifle is made from a tough 'NCore Reinforced Polymer' which makes the body of the rifle dense, tough and great feeling. The rear of this stock is fully adjustable to suit different users, and can be adjusted for length and angle, as well as adjusting the height of the cheek rest. The comfortable thumb-hole stock is very easy to get to grips with, and will feel like a natural extension of your body once you have adapted to the platform. The stock also features an adjustable Monopod, which provides The included sling can be connected to the stock via the front loops and ambidextrous rear loop on the stock. This makes the rifle much easier to carry around, and makes the use of a sidearm viable. The Upper Receiver features a 20mm Rail as you would expect, which allows you to mount any compatible 20mm Sights and Scopes.

Internally, the Specna Arms SV-98 is compatible with the TM AWS as standard, as well as AirsoftPro tuning parts, which means that there is a whole host of compatible aftermarket parts to upgrade your rifle to the next level. A smooth and coated Cylinder ensures that each cycle of the bolt is silky smooth, shooting much like the WELL MB-01 series.

Included in the box is a 65rnd Mid-Cap Magazine, Speedloader, Sling, Cleaning Rod and User Manual. If you're looking for a Bolt Action Spring Sniper Rifle which is different to the norm, but is still vastly compatible with aftermarket upgrades, then the Specna Arms SV-98 Core Sniper Rifle is just what you're looking for.

To buy an airsoft weapon in the UK you must have a valid airsoft defence.

This is not a licence, it is basically just proof that you intend to buy an airsoft weapon for use in airsoft.

An airsoft defence could be a UKARA or membership with the British Airsoft Club, and various other forms of defence.

You can only obtain an airsoft defence once you are over the age of 18.

To get an airsoft defence the law is that you should play at least 3 games of airsoft, and that you must have been playing for at least two months.
You can still buy an airsoft gun without a defence, provided you are 18 or older. If you choose to do this we would, by law, two tone (paint in a bright colour) parts of your chosen weapon. This is because an airsoft gun is considered a RIF aka Realistic Imitation Firearm, because they are so close to the real steel, whereas when you paint parts of it in a bright colour it becomes an IF aka Imitation Firearm. The reason being that the bright colours make it look less realistic to the public, and therefor less likely to be mistaken as real, were it to be used for any other purpose than airsoft.

When you order a gun from us you will need to add your defence details in the comments section of the cart. If you do not have a defence you will need to write the colour that you wish to be used for two toning your airsoft weapon.

Here is what's stated in the VCRA (Violent Crime Reduction) Act:

For airsoft skirmishing, the Association of British Airsoft is putting in place arrangements to allow retailers to check that individual purchasers are members of a genuine skirmishing club or site. The key elements of these arrangements are:
1. new players must play at least 3 (three) times in a period of not less than two months before being offered membership
2. membership cards with a photograph and recognised format will be issued for production to retailers
3. A central database will be set up for retailers to cross-check a purchaser’s details
4. member’s entry on the database will be deleted if unused for 12 months.
The defence for airsoft skirmishing can apply to individual players because their purchase of realistic imitation firearms for this purpose is considered part of the “holding” of a skirmishing event.
