Planning for this year's North West Airsoft Festival has begun!
This year’s NWAF event is being held on 4&5th July at Outpost Airsoft in Chester.
Due to the success of last year’s event, we have decided to keep the event location to Outpost as it has all the facilities we require. Plumbed in toilets being a must! The safe zone is also fully lit and has power for traders who need it.
The game zone itself is huge, catering to roughly 200 players. We describe the site as Outdoor CQB. Although it is outdoors there are various buildings scattered around as well as the man-made urban cover. The site is home to an APC, plane, engineers bridge and much more. There is always somewhere to hide during any game scenario.
The remote location of the site makes it perfect for game scenarios that involve pyro!
We have completely changed the layout and cost of the event this year to make it more affordable for all to come and look around – ticket prices are as follows:
For anyone that would like to attend to just look at the stalls entry to the event is free.
Prices for games and camping are as follows:
- Saturday mini games 3pm-7pm - £15 (£25 INC Hire)
- Sunday full game day 10am-4pm - £25 (£35 INC Hire)
- Full Weekend £40 (inc camping and all games)
- ** Own camping kit is required**
- ** Booking is advised for full weekend & hire **
This year’s games have also been improved on a massive scale – On Saturday we are planning to start mini games around 3pm and run until around 7pm.
Sunday’s game has been themed with the artillery in mind – they have a surprise for us all that will be in-game. The artillery plan on making a few appearances in-game throughout the day with different bits of equipment to show off.
This year’s event is once again being held in aid of charity. However, this year it’s a little closer to home. Those who attended last year will have had the honour of meeting sergeant Clinton Pye (artillery recruitment stand) who sadly passed away in November last year. Clinton Pye was a good friend to Bomb Up and was a kind, lovely guy. We have been in contact with his family and regiment about hosting the event in his name, and to decide on where the funding should go. After discussions with his loved ones, we have decided that this year our chosen charity is the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund.
The charity has and will continue to help his family financially and emotionally through such a difficult time for both his wife and young children. As they do with so many other families.
As Clint was also an airsoft player, we think this would be a great way to honour his memory.
Some of this year’s stallholders include:
- Bomb Up Pop-Up-Shop
- Equal Airsoft
- Valken Airsoft
- Airsoft Wholesale UK
- Finchy Finch Patches
- Airsoft Operators Box
And there are many more to come.
We have a 40ft Assault course on-site to keep the kids entertained, (big and little), a raffle and merchandise including patches for sale, and much more to make this a full-on family fun day.
The royal artillery is also bringing a huge stand with vehicles and guns to show.
If this event is up your street or you would like to come and hold a stall please get in touch.
