RIFs - How do you store yours?
There are many ways to safely store your RIFs. So how do you store yours?
Most of us here use the Nuprol Hard Cases. They come with wave foam or pick 'n' pluck foam inside to keep your RIFs safe and secure during storage and transport. Nuprol do hardcases for Pistols, AEGS and Sniper Rifles. We also occasionally stock hard cases from other suppliers such as SRC.
Don't fancy a hardcase? We also stock soft RIF bags. We have the Elite RIF Bags from Kombat UK in on a regular basis along with the Nuprol large soft bags. These come with a fully velcro'd front for you to go crazy with your patches! We also like to get the Specna Arms RIF bags in from time to time.
When it comes to transporting your RIFs always remember to store them sensibly. Don't drive around with your pistol in your glove box. If you happen to get pulled over you could end up in a whole heap of trouble. Sensible storage is key. Keep RIFS in your boot or on the back seat out of reach. Make sure you store them without the mags in and without batteries in so that they are deemed safe for transport.
You don't have to have a hardcase or specific bag to store RIFs you can keep them in the original box or in any bag of your choosing, this is entirely down to personal choice. Some players are known to keep their RIFs in guitar cases, briefcases, suitcases on wheels and even in trunk boxes!
When bringing a RIF to the shop or collecting an upgrade or repair it is vital that you bring a box or bag to with it in. Even if, worst case scenario, it is just a bin bag!
